Measure long, heavy and irregular freight before booking. Local origin does not make a standard parcel network suitable for machinery or fabricated goods.

State gross weights and final outer dimensions. Include batteries, liquids, chemicals and dangerous-goods status in the commodity description.
Loading and delivery appointments
Confirm forklift, dock and tailgate requirements at both addresses. A tailgate needs a compatible handling unit and hard, level ground. It does not include stairs, internal placement or unpacking.
Where a secure or government site provides a delivery window, include enough contingency for screening and reception. Arrival at the precinct is not completed delivery.

Returned products must be repacked and remeasured. Assembly, use or damage can change the original freight profile.

Allow contingency before opening time. A scheduled arrival at the final setup hour leaves no recovery window for screening or venue congestion.
Photograph cases and equipment before release and identify who is authorised to sign at the venue. Temporary staff may not recognise the supplier or consignment reference.
