Close all flaps and seal the main and edge seams. Remove previous labels and barcodes. Apply the new label flat on a broad face without folding it around an edge or covering it with reflective material that prevents scanning.
Quote the packed parcel, not the product
Measure length, width and height at the widest outside points after sealing and weigh the complete parcel. Decorative product packaging, cushioning and the shipping carton all count. A light, bulky box may be charged using dimensional weight rather than only the scale reading.
For multiple parcels, give the size and weight of each carton type and the correct quantities. Every piece needs its own valid label and should be recorded against the order.
Residential delivery choices need a risk decision
Include the unit number, building or business name, street address and a working receiver phone number. Apartments, gated complexes and secure offices need access instructions that a driver can reasonably follow. A standard courier delivery does not include waiting indefinitely or carrying a parcel to an internal room.
Where authority to leave is offered, decide whether an unattended location is genuinely suitable. Exposure to theft, weather or public view may make that instruction inappropriate for valuable goods. If a signature or another delivery option is required, request it before booking.

If the parcel is needed for a birthday, event, installation or customer commitment, allow contingency and state the deadline during quoting. Do not present an estimate as a guaranteed appointment.
