Residential, fragile, high-value, dangerous-goods or specialist site deliveries require additional checking. A national network does not mean every freight type is accepted at every postcode.
Retail and branch distribution
Store freight works best when the sender provides store number, purchase order, receiving hours and the correct loading address. Shopping centres may have a dock separate from the public shopfront. Prepare freight for road distribution
Cartons should be strong, fully sealed and free from old barcodes. Keep dense items away from box walls and immobilise products. Pallets should be sound, contained within the footprint and restrained as a single unit. Protect corners and keep fork entry clear.
Declare non-stackable or long freight. If a load cannot support any freight above it, it consumes floor space differently from an ordinary stackable pallet.
